Mobility Service Centre

The Mobility Service Centre answers questions about barrier-free use of stations and trains. It also organises assistance with boarding, changing or alighting at almost 300 stations.

The Mobility Service Centre supports people with reduced mobility in planning their journey.

Do you need assistance when travelling? Whether you are travelling in a wheelchair, with aids or as a deaf person - the Mobility Service Centre advises people with restricted mobility on planning their trip and organises local assistance where possible.

  • Organisation of personal service for boarding, changing and alighting on all local and long-distance services
  • Support with the organisation of a wheelchair lift
  • Answering questions about suitable trains, the accessibility of stations or minimum transfer times

On the relevant station details page of bahnhof.de, you can see whether transfer assistance is offered at the station in question. Simply select your station via the station search and check whether the blue tile with the heading ‘Mobility service’ is displayed in the ‘Advice and support’ section. We can also help you spontaneously at some stations.

In addition to contacting the Mobility Service Centre personally by telephone, you can also use our barrier-free online form at msz-bahn.de to register your journey and any assistance you require.

To ensure optimum assistance, please register your journey by 20:00 the day before at the latest. For international journeys, registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.

Deaf and hard of hearing people can also send their questions by e-mail to deaf-msz@deutschebahn.com. For urgent questions, it is helpful if the e-mail is labelled as urgent in the subject line. This way it can be prioritised.

Alternatively, it is also possible to contact the Mobility Service Centre by text message. In this case, an SMS message must be sent to the number 0160 97435806. The corresponding text must begin with ‘#deafhelp’, followed by a space and the message.
