With DB Radfix, Deutsche Bahn is bringing a new service to the station. It makes it possible to conveniently book repairs and servicing for your bicycle online in order to be mobile again in the shortest possible time. This makes you independent of opening hours and waiting lists at bicycle repair shops. After booking the appointment, the bicycle can be connected to the DB Radfix bicycle hangers at the station in the morning and collected repaired in the evening.
DB Radfix started at the stations Berlin Südkreuz and Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof. Nowadays, you can also find the service at the stations Freiburg (Breisgau) Hauptbahnhof and Hamburg-Bergedorf. Various repair and maintenance services can be selected, booked and paid for online. Whether it’s a hose or shell change, repairs to the bottom bracket or lighting system, or inspections and check-ups: the services offered are diverse and are carried out quickly and professionally by our workshop partners. We work exclusively with local and certified master workshops.
On the selected day, the bicycle is brought to the Radfix station between 06:00 and 09:00 a.m. in the morning and collected again in the evening on the same day. The drop-off and pick-up times as well as the central location of the station enable commuters and residents to integrate bicycle repair into their daily work routine. In addition, the diversity of mobility options at the station allows for flexible onward travel. In the future, the service will also be offered at other stations.
