What data do we collect? How and why do we process your data?
Live video images are collected. Purposes of the video surveillance are:
Coordinating safe rail operations
- Detection of bottlenecks or irregularities
- Regulation of passenger flows
- Support of measures for traffic safety
Ensuring and initiating operational processes
- Service measures
- Cleaning measures
- Security measures (including enforcement of house rules)
The legal basis for the processing is Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) DSGVO.
Legitimate interests are the coordination of safe rail operations, ensuring operational processes and enforcing domiciliary rights.
Video surveillance for the aforementioned purposes is only carried out by means of event-related live observation of the video images. No storage takes place. This passive observation option supports the implementation of the 3-S concept (service, safety, cleanliness). This means in practice that defined employees only view live camera images in specific incident cases in order to increase the basic quality at the train station.
Frequency analysis
For the purposes of safe rail operations and ensuring operational processes, anonymous people counts are also automatically gathered from live video images. This means that no personal data is collected and processed, only counter events. The compiled counting data is used to analyze, forecast and improve overcrowding situations as well as stop and changing times.
